Van and Sally Group Therapy

Van: *is quietly finishing his work at the office, looking sleep deprived*

*Sal enters with a coffee, also looking ragged*

G: *groans* ok. you 2 need to get help.

*Sal strains as she struggles to lift the cup to her mouth*

Sal: No...I...needed...here...

*Guillermo looks seriously at her*

Guillermo: I can't do this. No job is worth you hurting yourself.

Van: i....i don't need.....

g; and you've cut yourself off from EVERYONE. you both need the help

*Sal gulps*

Sal: But what about...?

Guillermo: I'll cover things here. You guys go, I'll call Anty.

Van: i...i dont-

G: *sighs and drags the 2 to anty's

*Sal and Van both look at each other awkwardly in the waiting room*

Van: th...this is ridiculous....

*Sal sighs*

Sal: W...what's the point?

Anty: that usually is a sign it is very needed

* Van and Sal trudge into Anty's therapy room*

Anty: Together, we're going to see if we can get to the root of your issues.

Van: if you say so

*Sal groans*

Sal: You think I didn't want to? These things, they never leave my head and no potion,
therapy or exercise will make the slightest difference.

Van: i can't shake them. they just won't leave

*Anty looks concerned*

Anty: We can get through this...

Sal: But...what if we can't?

Van: they'll all just abandon me anyways

*Anty looks sympathetically at Van*

Anty: I know it may feel like that. But you've got people here who love you Van.

Van: yeah. right. and sally thinks she isn't thin even though she is

*Sal sighs*

Sal: It's just...it's always there. Always in the mirror. And the nightmares...for a while they went.
But they're back now.

Anty: *nods* sounds like you 2 were hit quite hard by the previous attack

*Sal nods*

Sal: It...it came so close...I could feel myself slipping away...

Van: i....i'd rather not think on it...

*Anty nods*

Anty: We can take a break whenever you want.

Anty: but. it isn't good to just ignore it. that's why you 2 are here now
