*Vibes motions Sal to get away*

Vibes: Sly...I believe you.

Sly: You do?

Vibes: Yeah. Just be careful. I think there is something going on and you don't want to
put Lilith in danger.

*Vibes smiles*

Vibes: She's lying to her boyfriend and hiding a secret from him, maybe she feels guilty?

*Vibes looks to make sure Sal isn't listening in*

Vibes: Point is maybe you should back off a bit, let her use it if she wants to.

*Vibes laughs*

Vibes: Meh, we're superheroes, we don't have a social life.

*Vibes winks at him*

Vibes: We all screw up sometimes. Just some are better covering it up!

LATER THAT WEEK...

*Vibes arrives at a clothing store, the lights out and security guards slumped on the floor*

Vibes: What the heck?

Security guard: Feel...so...tired...

*Vibes looks round*

Vibes (thought): Looks like whatever is draining energy around here struck again!

Sly slams a Megabot through the doorway, smashing it.
"What happened here?"

*Vibes sighs*

Vibes: That's what I'm currently looking at. Guessing whatever did this isn't a megabot.

*Vibes ponders this*

Vibes: Don't think so. If it was you I don't think they'd be drained like this.

*Vibes nods*

Vibes: From what I can see this thing only seems to attack at night and attacks places
with a lot of energy. So we need to get everyone ready at likely targets.

*Vibes nods*

LATER THAT EVENING...

*Romana is part of a team in Airways mall*

Romana: I still don't see why I'm here.

Sal: I was thinking when we were done we could go shopping.

Romana: Really?

Some of the lights in the mall begin to flicker

*Romana nods*

Romana (thought): Time to switch to night vision scan.

*She looks round, seeing a yellow blur go past*

As it zooms past, the lights in it's path go out, some bulbs shattering.

*Romana scowls*

Romana (thought): I can't lock onto the...

*She twists round, the blur knocking her down*

Romana: AAAGH!

*She flops down*

Romana: Ugh...feel...so...weak...

The blur rushes at Sally, intent on either draining her, or her weapon.

*Sal goes to charge her pole's taser but nothing happens*

Sal: What the...?

*She gets knocked down by a massive electric blast*

Sal: OOF!

The blur grabs her arm for a moment before letting go of the now drained Sally, speeding off into the distance, lights all around it shutting down.

*Sal and Romana both look at each other, their bodies both looking like popped balloons*

Sal: Ugh...

Romana: W...What just happened to us?

Sal: So...weak...
