Complication Relaxation

*Rena manages to get them along to anty's location.*

Rena: "okay you two, just cuddle up while the doctor waits to check up both of you okay?" *patting their bellies.*

*G looks at Sal*

G: Something doesn't make sense.

Sal: Yeah...where's the food?

Rena: "Oh right!" *rena rushes off to bring back some punch and bowls of beef stew.* "Here."

*Sal and G gleefully gobble the food down. While Sal and G are distracted Rote scan her*

Rena: "Well? Anything?"

Rote: "getting an analysis. I'm surprised you haven't joined them."

Rena: "Either I'm just lucky or whoever did this didn't get the memo about me..."

*Rote eyes her suspiciously*

Rote: Or someone does and is doing this deliberately.

Rena: "wait...so you're saying this was a calling card to call ME out?"

Rote: "You're getting big renown for what you've gone through. Handling mega fox, saving the trio more than once, and even slapping around his henchmen like casual threats...Someone might be trying to call you out."

*Rote checks the scanner results*

Rote: Oh you've got to be kidding.

Rena: What?

Rote: Nothing...there's no evidence of anything affecting them!

Rena: "...weird."

"Isn't that out of this world then?"
"Then what would even be causing this?"
"I don't know! Maybe they're doppelgangers or something?"
"Who happen to have no signs of such?"
"OH OH OH! Maybe it's hypnosis!"
"Too genuine."
"partial amnesia?"
"are you just going down the whole list?"
"Well YOU'RE not coming up with any ideas!

Rena: "What could it be then? Are they genuinely happy and fat then?"

*Rote ponders this*

Rote: Sorry to disappoint but the shift in character suggests something else. It
        must be magical or subconscious as it would explain why my analysis and
        Anty's potions aren't doing jack.

Rena: "meaning someone did this on the mental realm? So that means I have to go head diving..."

"ROADTRIP! I'll pack my air tanks!"

*Rote looks seriously at Rena*

Rote: Be careful Rena, I've got a very weird feeling about this.

Rena: "..I've been through weirder."

*Rote looks at her seriously*

Rote: I mean it...this reeks of setup.

Rena: "...I know."

"you won't be alone."
"Yeah! We'll be right here with you!"

Rena: "...I won't be alone. You know that."

*Anty looks at Rote*

Anty: What is she talking about?

Rote: Long story. Point is we need to keep an eye on her.

*rena goes along to the three, holding up her hands.*

Rena: "Rote knows about one thing..you both know about Amethyst...so you know my head isn't just my thoughts alone. Meaning I have more than just me going inside."

*Anty nods*

Anty (thought): That's partially what we're afraid of.

*soon enough, rena would appear in the mental realm of the three in collective thought. Dingo lass towards vibes, amethyst to sal, and Rena to G.*

Dingo Lass: "So first one to solve the mystery gets to go around for a day?"

Amethyst: "It's not like rena wouldn't give us free roam anyway."

Rena: "Not now you two. We gotta keep our game faces on."

Dingo Lass: "right!" *slapping her own face before she winces.* "WHY DID I DO THAT?!"

Amethyst: "idiot sibling..."

Dingo Lass: "stuck up sister."

Rena: "now now let's get along here. We got work to do."

*They look around and see the sky turn purple*

Rena: OK...that's new.

Dingo Lass: "OOO! Cotton candy!"

Amethyst: "with chocolate rain?"

Dingo Lass: "WHAT?! You've never watched cartoons before???"

Rena: "At least it's not cats and dogs yet."

Dingo Lass: "Yet!"

*They hear giggling*

Rena: "Hmm?"

*the group turning to where the laughing was.*

*They look and see an enormously inflated Amber*

Amber: I'm a big happy balloon!

Dingo Lass: *hearts in her eyes.* "WAAAAAAAAANT!!" *running to Amber but Amethyst anchors her by the tail.*

Amethyst: "Down girl!"

Rena: "...that's new."
