since it's around halloween. for those who have seen it would you count nightmare before christmas as a christmas movie, halloween movie, or a rare dual season movie.

For me personally I associate it with Christmas, since basically any scary film is a Halloween film (including any film from the film series Halloween). Ultimately it is about a character discovering the spirit of Christmas.

One thing that is a bit of a bugbear (even though I do love a lot of his films) is it's a "Tim Burton" film when it's directed by Henry Selick.

technicalities. least johnny depp wasn't in it....least until someone remakes it.

Easy to forget together they've made some quality films (Ed Wood is amazing) but yeah they both need a break from each other.

Henry Selick has done some great films- for real Halloween creepiness Coraline gets really dark!

i actually heard a great theory as to why hover tech isn't around. in the movies biff wasn't the only one who saw the delorean fly away and the other guy was like "huh. flying cars. that's actually a cool idea" and began working on it for x amount of time thus hover tech is a self creating time loop thingy. and since no one here saw that we didn't start working on them till much later

I do like that as a theory (check Everything Wrong with Back To The Future 2)- though the final line from no 3 serves as both inspiration and get out clause "The future is now how you make it, so make it a good one"

oh yeah. not taking away from that. just a fun theory to bring up
