7 Continents, 7 Crystals Part 6: An Ancient Past

G: Sally I know you're nervous but the team needs you right now.

*Sal looks in horror*

Sal: Look at me G I...

*G holds her and kisses her*

G: You are Wondervixen.

Sal: *smiles*....

*Sal gets to her feet*

Sal: Let's go win that contest.

*The two return to the theater where everyone is setting up for the competition*

Tails: *looks over to G* So, how'd it go?

*G smiles*

G: Just watch.

*About an hour later the show begins to start*

*Sal takes a deep breath*

Sal: We can do this!

Tails: Yeah!

Amy: Just know that we'll be supporting you all the way.

*Sal shuts her eyes.*

Sal: I can do this.

Sal's Mother: Don't screw this up Sally Joanna Vixen.

"The 5th Annual Sydney Talent Competition"

"Contestant 1: Tails"

Tails: For my act, I have chosen to entertain with a little device I managed to whip up just in time. *takes a cloth off the table revealing a high-tech helmet* Behold "The Cranial Laser Assortment Projector!" or "C.L.A..P" Here's how it works. This helmet is linked to this terminal right here. The wearer puts on the helmet, and it scans your thoughts. Afterwards it transmits them into the computer and then after converting them into data, it programs and executes a stunning laser light show based around said data. To help demonstrate, my associate has graciously volunteered to wear the helmet.

Sticks: *wearing the helmet* I'm not sure about this.

Tails: and now to activate it

*Beeping and whirring occurs*

Sticks: *looks nervously as the helmet transmits her thoughts into the machine*

*Everyone looks as plants turn into violins, shoes transmit messages to aliens and other assorted Sticks ramblings*

Tails: O.o....*just looks at Sticks*

Sticks: *mouths out* "I told you this was a bad idea!"

Tails: Uh *turns to the audience* I did say "results may vary" right? ^^" Heh heh.

CONTESTANT 2: Knuckles

CG: Hey the big guy is up, did you make the *coughs* "edits" to his book before the show? *snickers*

IG: Yeah. Shame...so cute...and brain smart.

CG: *looks at her*........you're kidding right?

Knuckles: Good evening Culture lovers! Today I will be reciting one of many of the most recent and well known poems....at least recent ones I was able to find on the internet. This one is titled: "Over The Fence" *clears throat* "Twas bright a morning that summer day, yet I was a just too bored. To play or smash a robot up or to go fencing with a sword..."

CG: *snickers*

Amy: He's dead. >~<"

Knuckles: "But over yonder to my eyes, there had stood a fence, I tried to open up the door but it was just too dense. So with a leap I jumped and saw what was beyond that wood. And to my glee it was cake, and golly it was good." *closes the book* Thank you. *smiles*

Audience:...........*Applauses him as he walks backstage*

CG: *jaw drops* D8

Amy: *jaw drop* D8

*IG swoons*

Tails: *is almost speechless* H-How did you manage to rehearse that?

Knuckles: I didn't. The pages were whited out for some reason! I want to thank whoever did that, cause I'm more of a free thinker anyways.

CG: *looks frustrated at IG*

IG: hey i DID sabotage it. he's just to smart for that apparently

* IG grins checking out Knuckles*

IG: Mmm... gift wrapping.

CG: Ugh....

*BACK IN THE PAST*

Blue: *leads Vibes and Sonic into an ancient lab* We're here.

Bolt: Welcome to my Workplace...

*Vibes smiles*

Vibes: OK for "ancients" you've got some impressive gizmos here!

Blue: Thank you. We work with what we have.

Bolt: I'll be heading to the main chamber to talk with my mentor. Once the situation is explained, he should give me access to the project...*walks off to another room*
