Transfer aka The Balance of Powers

*Sal looks baffled at Vibes*

Sal: So you were dressed as Carmelita?

Vibes: Yeah, and you were Penelope. And they had our powers.

Sal: So...how did that happen?

Vibes: General Van screwed with Van and VJ's double soul, so we
        all ended up trading powers and forms.

Sal: Are you sure this has nothing to do with getting your head filled with air?

Vibes: Maybe. I have had more of a craving for marshmallows lately.

Van: *walks in*

Van: what are you guys talking about?

*Sal raises an eyebrow*

Sal: As ever we're playing dream or vision with Vibes.

Vibes: Easy for you to laugh it off!

Van: about who? *looks at the odd glances sally and Vibes give him* what? something on my face?

*Vibes looks sadly at Sal*

Sal: You have to tell him Vibes.

*Vibes sighs*

Vibes: I had a vision of us swapping with Carmelita and Penelope.

Van: And...?

Vibes: General Van used you and VJ.

Van: What? How is that possible?

Sal: Your double soul went haywire.

Van: ......it has to be a dream.

*Vibes holds her head*

Vibes: Well I haven't got a fever, I didn't eat any cheese last night
and horror movie night is not for a few days.

Van: What's your point?

Vibes: I know when I'm dreaming. I can feel the randomness, the
lack of meaning. This was direct, it had structure and
a narrative.

Sal: I think you're being a bit generous there.

Van: things happen that your psychic abilities don't pick up on a lot in this city. maybe this time you got overly paranoid and that brain of yours made up a scenario that won't happen

*Meanwhile...*

Penelope: And so you're saying you imagined you had Vibes' costume and powers?

Carmelita: Yes.

Penelope: Oh no fair! You know I'm her biggest fan!

Carmelita: Believe me if I had the choice you could have it!

VJ: *walks in* hey guys i had a weird dream

*Vibes smiles*

Vibes: Let me take a guess- your powers went out of control, Sal and I swapped bodies/
powers with Carmy and Penelope?

VJ: uh no....me and dad we're fighting off general Van when Omega came out of nowhere and then a few seconds later. Dad, General Van, and Omega clash and there's a huge explosion then.....that's where it ends

*Vibes looks confused*

Vibes: OK that was not how it was supposed to go.

Van: You know for a psychic you get a lot of things wrong.

Vibes: Oh naff off.

VJ: what did i miss?

Van: ok vibes if your vision is correct VJ's dream would make more sense because of omega's warp energy

*Vibes clutches her head*

Vibes: Speaking of which, explosion happening in city. We'd better move!

Van: right *rushes to the city*

*Vibes speeds off with Sal flying behind*

General Van: *is destroying the city with an army of robots*

*Vibes speeds toward General Van, knocking over robots on the way*

Vibes: OK General you're about to get motored out of here!

*a power bot clothes lines vibes*

Van: *charges at General Van* time to end this

General Van: i couldn't agree more *charges at Van*

*a crossbow bolt forces GV to jump back* Looks like I'm just in time!

*Sal swoops down with her pole, knocking the powerbot's head off*

Sal: You okay?

Vibes: Well I won't be singing opera for a while.

*Van and General Van clash, sending out a small shockwave*

Van: STAY OUT OF THIS LOUIS. THIS FIGHT'S MINE

General Van: robots fight the others, leave Vanitas to me!

*The robots launch toward Vibes, Sal and Louis*

Vibes: This is planned.

Sal: He's a general, no kidding.
