Hero or Villain?

A lot of people identify with heroes and part of the fascination of stories is going on a journey with them, whether it's a literal quest or a more psychological one.

However villains can be fun to write as well. The good thing about this is because a lot of them are robots or warp creatures you can kind of go nuts with this

i personally always leaned towards anti heroes more than normal heroes. they just seem cooler to me and it's kind of like a middle ground between hero and villain

The term "anti-hero" is a bit misleading. In some cases it depends who's writing them- For example Batman can be a moral guardian or a passionate vigilante.

But yes on the whole heroes need to have flaws too, the challenge as a writer is to make sure readers can engage with them.

Writers can make all the difference for an RP character.

Let's take for example my own Madness here. She ain't a hero, and when you blow the brains out of a child because your teammates killed their parents you get a bit of a reputation. But she's not really a villain as she doesn't go out of her way to cause mass killings, giant world domination contraptions, and the like.
But she can be a real kick to write for!

But enough of my blabbering. any character needs to have flaws and/or weaknesses. God and Goddess characters just irritate other RPers.

Villains, because Robbie Rotten... VILLAIN NUMBER ONE!!!!!

I also had this Idea for a character named Ricochet, she's a fox whose real name is Maddyson Foxxe, she's 18 and her powers are never being able to be killed, and her marksmanship is perfect down to planc length.(radius of a proton.) she's like a mix of Deadpool, Logan, and Deadshot with the personality of Spiderman. She's very sarcastic and funny. She's also very comassionate and I'll post a pic of her soon! But she's an Anti-Hero, like deadpool, if somebody makes her mad, she'll just kill 'em

Ricochet has a weakness similar to Vibes, but it's chocolate syrup!

All awesome ideas but we keep it PG/PG-13 so if we can substitute "killing" for "fighting" that's fine!

She's like Logan, because she can regenerate herself from anything, even vaporization. She's not evil, but she's not exactly a hero either...

Groovy that's fine, just thought I'd make that clear before we start. If we can have a profile for Polaris too and how these two relate to each other that'd be good too.
