*Vibes twists round*

Vibes: Huh?

???: crap! did she see me?

*Vibes laughs*

Vibes: Come on this is psychic camp, hiding is a bit silly!

*a boy pokes his head out of the bushes......next to where vibes was looking*

????: i know it's psychic camp. it's why i'm here.

*Vibes laughs*

Vibes: Well...then you know you shouldn't be afraid of me!

????: thing is....i didn't sign up. my parents refused to let me join so i snuck away. i have to become a psychonaut.

*Vibes looks sympathetically at the kid*

Vibes: You ought to call them, they'll be worried sick.

Kid: But they'll kill me!

Vibes: Trust me you'll miss them when they're gone.

???: you don't understand. my father hates psychics. if i call him he will come and take me away. i just need a few days to master my powers. please miss counselor.

*Vibes sighs*

Vibes: Tell you what...You tell me about your parents. I'll put in some kind of false memory
so they'll think you are there for the next couple of days. But after that you
have to go back home. Deal?

Boy: thing is.....they're kinda hard to pin down....i'm from the circus.

Vibes: so your a kid.....who ran away FROM the circus?

Boy: yeah. i'll still tell you about my dad at least. he's the main problem

*Vibes nods*

Vibes: It's ok you can tell me.

Boy: well first off my name is Razputin. but everyone calls me Raz.

*Vibes smiles*

Vibes: Cool name.

Raz: well the story goes that long ago my family was cursed by psychic gypsies to die in water. it's why i never learned to swim. and ever since my dad has hated psychics. even tore up the pamphlet to this camp i was given right in front of me

*Vibes looks sympathetically at Raz*

Vibes: Wow that's rough.

Raz: i swear he is even ashamed of me.

*Vibes hugs him*

Vibes: I'm sure he loves you. It's just what we have...It's a big thing to deal with!

Raz: yeah.....sometimes more than a parent can take.......but the strange thing is.....i could swear my dad is psychic too.....maybe it's just me being hopeful

*Vibes nods*

Vibes: Makes sense...Maybe he just wants to protect you, grow up without relying on
powers and all that.

Raz: by not using them at all? i have to prove to my dad that i'm not just raz the acrobat....i'm destined to be a psychic agent.

*Vibes hugs Raz*

Vibes: I'm going to tell you what a teacher once told me...Play the game.

Raz: What does that mean?

Vibes: When the time comes you'll get your chance. But for now you've got
to do what you have to do.

Raz: just promise me a week. it's all i need to get all the badges and prove myself. please miss.....ugh.....
