Confidence in Craziness

*A week after Shima’s personal escapade, things start to slow down. The morning is just like every other morning, as Shima wakes up and gets herself dressed and ready for the day…*

Shima: *stretches* ok. Time for breakfast *heads downstairs*

*Shima looks at herself in the mirror*

Shima (thought): I...I need to find some way to be me...Preferably without rendering everyone powerless.

*The mirror starts to bend and twist*

Shima: gah! *fixes it*

Shima: Phew… close call there…

*As she leaves, she fails to notice a small, grinning face appear in the mirror for a split second…*

Shima: its thursday so pancakes!!!

*Once Shima runs in, Lilith looks back and spots her.*

Lilith: Morning sweetie. Ya sleep well?

Shima: yep. Slept great.

Lilith: Good... Good to hear you're doing okay after... well, all the craziness that has happened in the past week. But, at the very least, with crime having died out for the moment, now we can spend the week as a family instead of worrying about the next big evil plot.

*Lilith smiles as she walks over to the table with a plate of pancakes for both her, Shima and Van*

Lilith: The other plate is for when your father wakes up. ^^

Shima: ok *digs in*

*up in van's room*

*Van wakes up and starts to get dressed. However, just out of sight, something watches him*

???: Hmm, so this is her dad? *she says with a chuckle* He seems like a lot of fun. *she giggles and then vanishes*

Van: ugh. I swear just one lazy day

*As he walks down to the kitchen, Shima smiles*

Shima: Hey Dad! ^^

Lilith: Morning Van. *she says as she sits down* I've already got your breakfast ready.

Van: thanks lil *digs into the pancakes*

Shima: sooo....can i go to school?

Lilith: shima we talked about this.

Shima: not until i master the power surges *pouts*

Lilith: I know it sucks, but until we can help you get full control of your powers, we just can't take the risk. I mean, it's bad enough we have villains causing all sorts of weird crap around here... we don't want you to be seen as one of them. You're a good girl, Shima. And we're going to help you through this.

Shima: Yeah, I know.

Shima: im going for a walk.

Van: ill go with-

Shima: alone

Lilith: Oh... Well, just remember to be careful, alright?

Shima: Yeah, I will. *she says as she finishes her plate and walks off*

Van: im....gonna get changed and patrol. *heads to his room

Felix: *walks in* erm....did i miss something?

Lilith: *sighs* yes. The bus if you dont get that tail moving

Felix: sorry! See you later mom *runs out the door*

*Shima sighs*

Shima (thought): I know they all mean well but I...I just want to be me...be...normal...somehow...

Shima: but....well i also wanna be a hero. And be able to do as i wish. ARGH why do powers have to make everything so difficult! Bad enough that i have this kinda crazy in me but i cant even talk with anyone who understands this stuff besides warp king....and hes gone loopy from immortality

*Shima laughs*

Shima (thought): Powers...loopy...Auntie V!

*As she talks, a figure, just around Shima's size, with short red hair and purple gloves and shoes, walks by, whistling cheerfully to herself, only to slowly stop as she overhears Shima's words.*

???: Hmm?

*As she runs off, the figure smiles to herself...*

???: So that's her. Interesting~ :3 *she says as she disappears*

Shima: worth a try

*She heads off to the studio*

Shima: why did i catch a chill
